Personnel Board Staff
The Board has six full-time employees. The Executive Director is employed by the Board and he, in turn, hires the remainder of the staff with the Board's approval.
The Board employs ten independent hearing officers. They are private attorneys who are not state employees, but work under contract. They are selected through the electronic solicitation process used by Kentucky through the Finance and Administration Cabinet's e-procurement website. Their contracts are renewable each biennium, subject to the selection process.
